Green Eggs and Ham

I just started reading the book Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss and I feel that it is excellent. I'm just joking you silly gooses or geeces or geeci or geese. I wish I was reading that book because it is amazing! But seriously now, I am still reading the book I blogged about last week because that's my relaxation book, and I really don't get to relax that often. It is a great book and I think it is great for teens and adults because it creates a good vibe and makes me want to do something great.

The reason why I say this is because it tells me stories about people who have gone through certain situations that have to deal with life and jobs and become successful. They don't let bad things get to them which is one of the reason why those people are successful. Another reson why they are successful is because they make good choices. For instance, one story said that a guy named James decided to only worry about what he was doing at that moment. He never would want to worry about what might come next or what will happen in the future. He also said that by doing this he was able to stay patient, and become very good at his job as well as become very successful.

For those who actually might want to read this book, it is called The 100 Simple Secrets Of Successful People, by David Niven. If I were you, I would give it a shot... Bye my dudes

I want to be succesful!

I am letting you guys know right now... This might be a short entry. It depends on how I expand on what I read so far in a book which has like two page chapters. The title of the book is The 100 Simple Secrets Of Successful People by David Niven and it is really good. It tells you what not to do in life that might mess up your financial business, and even your career. And the best part about it, is that it is written for those who want to be successful. Which coincidentally, this book is just right for me!

The book teaches you abot life lessons, and it also tells you some stories about people that relate to the chapter. One chapter, says that leadership strengthens followers. This statement alone seems like successful advice, but it also says that if you strive to lead, "your ability will ultimately be measured in the successes of those around you" (p.96). I feel that this statement is 100% correct. It shows that leading others helps those who are being led, as well as yourself. Then it goes onto this paragraph about this police chief named Frank. It says that he directs about 100 policemen, which is a great example of what was said previously in the chapter. Him being the chief and directing all those policemen reflects on the type of person he is, and how he is able to deal with people (his ability).

I would like to thank you for your time, I apreciate it, and I hope you enjoyed it.

That kid is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (revised... oh yeah!)

I am really settling into my book now, and I am starting to realize that relating to this book is very hard. He is like a freaking cheetah, that is amazingly talented and very smart, so how could you relate to him. I don't even know a human that is even like him!

Ok, that's enough drama. What I am supposed to be writing about is how I feel about Maniac Maggee. And I feel that having his character in the "book world" is a great thing for kids of all ages. I think Maniac Magee displays strength, patience, and hard work. In the book, many kids made fun of Jeffrey Magee (this is his actual name) just because he dressed funny, and did not "fit in". The best part, is that even though his parents died when he was three years old and went to a totally different place by himself, he was still determined to make it on his own, and become a great person. I feel that this shows great strength, hard work, and alot of patience, considering that he had to wait a while to make new friends and become known in Two Mills (the place where he went to after losing his parents).

Jerry Spinelli did a great job with this character. I think the themes in this book have a lot to do with the characteristics of Maniac Magee. I feel that Spinelli wanted to get something across to us readers. Never stop moving forward. Even if at a certain point in your life you feel like you are by yourself, and are helpless. Just never stop. I feel that Jeffery Magee's character, is a perfect example of this.

And now that we 8th graders are moving on into highschool; a big part of our lives, I feel we all have to keep on moving forward, do hard work, and show your strength. Be the best you can be, but also do it well. And like Maniac Magee, be nice to others and they will be nice to you. Do good things, and good things will come right back to you. But at the same time, you will have to be patient. Just Like. Maniac Magee.

Romeo and Juliet :)

Since we are almost finished with Romeo and Juliet, I decided to write about so of my thoughts about the book, and the scene that we have just finished (I need a new book which is why I am not writing about a book that I am currektly reading).

To tell you guys the truth, when we first started this Shakespare Unit, I thought that it was going to be tremendously boring. I felt that way because I knew what year he wrote his plays in, and how their language was (I never understood it). But, it's actually really fun. Romeo and Juliet is not just love, but it is a comedy as well which can be acted in many different ways. I feel that this is one of the reasons why I love the Unit so much. And now, I have a new motto...  Never Judge a Unit, by It's Name. Cool right?

Scene two of act four is the last scene that we just finished reading. I think that this is a calmer scene in the book, but it is full of lies. Juliet really shows her bad side, as well as her love for Romeo. She tells her father (Capulet)that she is sorry for what she has done and that she is ready to marry Paris. Even though she still hates her father, and does not even love Paris! What a evil little girl...

I can't wait to finish the book. I feel that it is going to be good, and I am going to enjoy it. And remember.

Never Judge a Unit, by It's Name...    Adios :D

I keep forgetting to take out that book!

I keep switching from book to book because I keep forgetting to take out "Perfect Chemistry." I was going to take it out tomorrow, but I just remembered that someone took it out already (I'm pissed off!). I was really enjoying that book, so I don't know why I didn't take it out. Anyways, I feel that it is a book that keeps me wanting to read. That's why I want it so much!!!!!

Now to tell you a little something about the book. It is about two highschool students (boy and girl)that are totally different. The boy (Alex) a gang member in which does not have a great amount of money, and the girl. A rich person, that cares about looks and never gets in trouble. They first meet when they are assigned partners in a science class (both kids are partners). Then they get to know eachother better, even though the girl has a boyfriend, in which they really see how much different they are from each other. But remember, opposites attract...

I think that's where the author got "Perfect Chemistry" from. I think since he/she (forgot the gender of the author) knew that his/her charcters were purposly made totally opposite from each other, she decided to make it so that they are perfect for each other. All because of opposites being able to attract with one another. I do want to know why she created these characters. Has he/she had any experiences like this before? I guess that could be a reason why he/she decided to write this book.

Well, I hope I find that book is in the library tomorrow!!!

But besides all of that nonsense, I really think that having this character in the book world, is a great thing for kids of all ages. Maniac's!!!!!!

I've decided to pick up one of my favoroite books, which most of you know.... "Maniac Magee". I remember having to read it with my mom in the 5th grade, only because my teacher wanted me to read a more "challenging" book (the reason why I made "having" in bold is because I was kind of forced to read it).

But I am very glad that my teacher made me
read it because I fell in love with as soon as I read it.I think I related to it in a way which might be the reason I loved it so much. I feel that I was lonely when I was as young as he was  (but just for a few days, nothing like him)because there was a couple of times where my friends have tried to ignore me or treat me wrong which made me feel bad. Then I do something cool or great and their my friends again. JUst like Maniac Magee... Bunch of FAKERS!!!

This is the reason why I have decided to read the book again, I want to see if I can still relate to the book the way I did a couple of years ago. So depend on my next blog being about my relations with the book. I hope that I will be able to relate to the book even if I don't relate to it by feeling lonely.

           Adios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
